Finally, I was trying to help someone else on skype yesterday who was having the same problem as you. He had started the HUD before ever running TableScan or using scanresult.log.
So, we did a scan with TableScan, then we stopped and restarted the HUD, and it started working after that. I think maybe if the ScanResult.log file didn't already exist when you start the HUD, that might cause it not to work until the HUD is restarted.
